Prapti Mehra is an aspiring filmmaker, visual storyteller, and researcher. With a background in History and Media & Cultural Studies, she is drawn to the intersections of memory, identity, and material culture, uncovering the stories embedded within ordinary objects, places, and lived experiences. Her practice combines research with visual storytelling to create narratives that are intimate, reflective, and historically grounded. A self-confessed hoarder of memories and old things, much to her mother’s dismay, she finds it difficult to part with objects that carry traces of a life once lived. This enduring sense of nostalgia, often for moments she never witnessed herself, shapes her fascination with museums, archives, oral histories, and textile and fashion histories. She can be found on Instagram.
