Thank you for your interest in contributing to the Museum of Material Memory. The stories on this website offer a personal corridor into the past, and we are delighted to hear from you about the objects of age that you hold dear! 

The object should predate the 1970s. The form on the right is a brief introduction to it. 

Please read the Terms & Conditions before you fill it out. Once submitted, someone from our team will be in touch to discuss the process and timeline of the story. 

In the meantime, please also refer to our Guidelines, which should help you work through the piece. We encourage you to collect as many details about the object as possible – perhaps with the help of family members and/or relatives – which will ensure a richness of detail. Finally, one of the advantages of this digital platform is that we do not physically take the object away from its owner, but rely on hi-res photographs to represent its age, virtuosity and beauty. Keeping that in mind, please photograph the object with generosity – we cannot wait to see it!
